The train to the north will leave at night, so we have time to see Chennai. The station offers a reliable luggage deposit service. An Autorikshaw takes us to the beach first, where we take a walk until we are hungry. A bus drops us at a shopping mall, and a lying rikshaw driver takes us to where we think we want to go. I have read something about Ayurvedic massages and so I take Yeon there. She likes it, although the treatment is a bit short.
There is a restaurant in Chennai that is really great. We have found it on our way, walking back towards the station. It looks clean and the atmosphere is not particularly romantic, especially in the chilly A/C room. But the paneer and tikka they serve seem to be from a different planet. We indulge in a plate of tikka vegetales and some paneer dishes and every bite of it is delicious.
